Calendar months are used, not a fixed 30-day month, so results match birthday counting.
Method
How it works
The tool counts complete years, then complete months, then the remaining days using the actual calendar. That is why the day count is not simply total days ÷ 30.
Total days are measured between UTC midnights at 00:00, avoiding daylight-saving shifts that can otherwise produce an off-by-one result.
A 29 February birthday is handled by rolling to 28 February in non-leap years for the 'next birthday' countdown. The exact age in months and days is unaffected.

Is my date of birth stored?
No. The date never leaves your browser and we do not log it. Only aggregate page views are counted, without any date information.
Why is the total months figure not years × 12?
Total months include the completed months inside the current year, which is why it is slightly higher than years × 12.
How is a leap-day birthday counted?
In non-leap years the birthday is treated as 28 February for the countdown. Legally, different countries use different rules, so check local requirements for official purposes.
Can I calculate age between two non-birth dates?
Yes. Put the earlier date in the date-of-birth field and the later date in the 'age on' field to measure the gap in calendar terms.
